Exterior and In ground Pool clean up

Lets talk about Elbow grease for a moment. Isn’t it amazing what a little hard work can accomplish? The Power washer has become my good friend! Neither of us like to go on all out vacations. Beautifying the outdoor space was a goal so we could “Vacation” without having to leave our yard and to be able to entertain our gusts. One of the reasons we bought this home was for all of the land. It had beautiful landscaping but wasn’t kept up…Especially the in ground pool. The pool was disgusting to stay the least. All in all we pulled out at least 50 pounds of leaves, numerous tree branches, one dead bird, 3 dead mice, 6 dead frogs (And a partridge in a pear tree) HA! The frogs we did find alive were transported to the pond. We drained the pool, scrubbed, and had it re filled. We didn’t get much time to enjoy it but there’s always next year. Here’s some before and after pics of the exterior and pool. I’m glad that’s over! Now I can work on the interior during the winter.

Here’s the House. The house exterior was pretty gloomy looking! We got a new roof, ripped out the bushes and power washed the house. We couldn’t believe there was actually a wrap around sidewalk and beautiful flagstone border under those overgrown bushes! My hubby also hung a porch swing that I’ve always wanted. I cant wait to decorate the swing and have coffee on the porch in the Spring. We’ll add a few smaller bushes, flowers and some new window trim to the front next spring. Although its not finished, I believe there is a big improvement.

Here’s the yard. Lots of power washing and truck loads of mulch!
